The Summa Theologica is organized into several parts and each part is further divided into questions that address various theological and philosophical topics. Part I of the Summa Theologica is known as the Prima Pars which means the First Part. This section focuses on foundational theological concepts and philosophical arguments. The Trinity: Aquinas discusses the mystery of the Holy Trinity—the concept that God is three persons in one essence.
