Summer Cleanup the first volume in Amanda Kinzeys Youth Service Heroes series is the story of a young boy who discovers his passion for helping others through his love for drawing and a desire to make a difference. Jonas and his classmates have one common goal in mind for Green Street Elementary--to create a cleaner school environment for everyone. Through Jonass willingness to lead and organize his recycling movement sparks an interest in his fellow classmates teachers and local community members to join the cause and change the way their school looks forever.Summer Cleanup engages young minds and teaches important life lessons: how to care for our environment how to be a leader and how to creatively carry out service projects.
