Danny Valente had been groomed since birth to take over as 'Boss' of the California Crime Family run by his father. But when the Don of the Valente Family was unexpectedly sent to prison Danny's life changed completely. He was sixteen years of age when he and his younger brother Junie were shipped off to the tiny township of Sunshine New Mexico to live with their estranged mother and her abusive husband.
