About the Book: Surrogacy is a concept which is still considered taboo in the Indian society. India was emerging as a global leader of Surrogacy until the ban imposed by the government in 2015 which drew in a lot of criticism. Though legislature and judiciary in this country alike have shown a progressive view religious and traditional institutions have always been against the concept. This book is an attempt to simply the concept of surrogacy which is often criticised en masse. About the Author: Syed M. Aatif is a practicing advocate at the Honorable Supreme Court of India and has more than a decade of experience in dealing with matters pertaining to Service Laws Consumer Laws Family Law Women and Child Laws. Mr. Aatif is an avid critic of women and child laws in the country. His papers criticising the same have been published in notable national and international law journals. In 2018 his first book was published titled The Defective Sex Law of India. The book is a detailed criticism of the criminal laws governing sexual relations in India.
