Survey of Literacy Rate in Miraj City

The purpose of this paper is to find out the literacy rate in Miraj city which is a part of Sangli district. Being literate is very much important for not only the human development but also for the society development. Literacy is a need for country’s development. Equality in literacy is also equally important nowadays. This paper also gives importance to gender equality. Being illiterate is not just a problem but it’s a substantial crisis. For the better development of India it is necessary that every age group should be literate and contribute its part to the betterment of nation.
