This book covers the 9th six months July 1 through December 31 2013. Just a brief synopsis of events during this six months:The first two weeks of July were filled with the wildly successful debut of Susan’s live concert series — seven performances of “Susan Boyle In Concert” at theatres in five Scottish cities — the series debuted with a show in Inverness down the east coast to Aberdeen then Dundee and two nights each in Glasgow and Edinburgh. At each show Susan sang twenty-four songs; she was backed by Lance Ellington Ashleigh Gray and Annie Skates; an eight-piece instrumental ensemble; and a chorus of twenty students from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow. The shows were met by rave reports from the Susa-fans who attended as well as rave reviews from the media.At the end of August Susan participated whole-heartedly in the UK Special Olympics Summer Games held in Bath England. She flew to Bath with Team Lothian and sang her signature songs “I Dreamed A Dream” and “Who I Was Born To Be” at the Opening Ceremony. During the month of September details of her fifth album Home For Christmas were released; via electronic wizardry the lead track “O Come All Ye Faithful” was a duet with Elvis Presley. In October The Christmas Candle premiered with her first movie role as Eleanor Hopewell the church warden’s wife. During the last week of October she sang four songs at the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice 30th Anniversary Variety Performance at Glasgow’s SECC. The following day she attended a Press Conference at Sony’s London Headquarters where the announcement was made that Susan had become an Ambassador with Save the ChildrenUK; her duet with Elvis Presley and “O Come All Ye Faithful” would be a Christmas Charity Single in the UK with all proceeds to Save the ChildrenUK. At the end of the month her fifth album Home for Christmas was released in the United States.In November “Susan Boyle in Concert Spring 2014 Tour of England and Wales” was announced on her official website. The “O Come All Ye Faithful” music video was released; it was in black-and-white and documented Susan’s performance of the song in a Christmas pageant at a Glasgow primary school. Mid-month she performed three songs at the two morning services at Lakewood Church in Houston Texas. During the latter half of the month she sang on ITV’s Daybreak and The Paul O’Grady Show; The Christmas Candle opened in the US; she was voted the winner of the “Fan’s Choice Award” at Tartan Clef Awards; and album #5 Home For Christmas was released in the United Kingdom.In the UK on December 1 her hour-long interview with Fern Britton was aired on BBC. The first week of the month she was in New York City to publicize Home For Christmas singing Christmas songs on various TV programs. A throat infection caused her last appearance to be canceled. Via UK media her Asperger’s diagnosis was announced. In the UK the ITV documentary “There’s Something About Susan” was aired; it had been in production since the summer. At Christmas time Susan’s first performance in London’s Royal Albert Hall aired on BBC’s “Songs of Praise – The Big Sing” (taped in September); Susan sang “In The Bleak Mid-Winter” backed by Libera a London boys choir..
