Sustainability in Software Factories

Currently the amount of waste produced by individuals groups and companies is not given due importance nor is the final destination of all this waste. The environmental problem is worldwide and has increased in recent decades due to the great technological growth. Despite the lack of information about the concept of Sustainable Development on the part of IT companies as well as in the micro field of Sustainability in Organizations society has been paying increasing attention to the preservation of natural resources for future generations. Following this premise and interweaving Information Technology and Governance in this book the author reports on a study of new technologies standards and concepts aimed at the sustainable objective and proposes a Framework with sustainable routines for Software Factories an accessible and even strategic solution as he observes that small changes in actions with regard to IT and Governance make sustainable actions possible and bring visible benefits to the business.
