Sustainability in the food market

The issue of food waste is becoming increasingly important today - whether in documentaries or through the efforts of committed individuals who are trying to combat the problem through various projects. Food waste involves not only the food itself but also the resources used to produce it. This paper examines the problem of food waste and the initiatives being taken across Europe and Austria to combat it and attempts to show the extent of this waste. It also highlights the importance of raising awareness as a key step in the fight against food waste.
