Sustainable Construction and Human Security in Sub-Saharan Africa

This book targets all political leaders and African Development Bank including construction sector in Sub-Saharan Africa. It represents a bold step and scholarly contribution towards sustainable construction and human security debate in Sub-Saharan Africa. It draws on statistical evidence on regional and global extraction and consumption of raw materials such as; industrial Roundwood and aluminum articulating how these results in high CO2 emissions. Sub-Saharan Africa need not accept global climate change declarations initiated by advanced economies outside of the continent to avoid being trapped from using its natural resources to undertake socio infrastructural and industrial development. This Afrocentric intellectual narrative underscores the human security interest of Sub-Saharan Africa as the central trajectory of the book leading to the development of a conceptual framework designed to crystallize the importance of adopting national peculiarities within each Sub-region in determining sustainability policies. The guide calibrates critical values resonating within the larger culture and traditional DNA of the continent without creating catastrophic human insecurity problems.
