Sustainable Development and Contemporary Issues in India

The author of this book has been working as Associate Professor of Zoology in Department of Higher Education Haryana for the last 21 years and at present serving as Head Department of Zoology Smt. Aruna Asaf Ali Government P.G. College Kalka. She qualified for SLET UGC JRF in 1997 in her first attempt and did Ph.D. in Zoology from Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra in 2001. She is a member of the U.G. Board of Studies and Academic Court of Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra and paper setter of examinations of various Universities. She has vast experience of working as convenor of various governing bodies of the college like UGC IQAC University Cell NSS etc.Recently she has established an SDG (Sustainable Development Goal) Club in the college in collaboration with an NGO Bharat Soka Gakkai to spread awareness among youth of college about these goals given by United Nations and work towards achieving them by 2030.This book is a small attempt in this direction to highlight the practical approaches required in achieving these goals and work towards the better environment for future generations in real sense.
