Sustainable Forest Conservation in Uganda

This book effectiveness of the interventions towards sustainable forest conservation assesses different efforts to sustainably conserve forests in Uganda with emphasis on Kitechura central forest reserve in Kyenjojo district of western Uganda. The efforts such as tree planting provision of alternative energy sources bee keeping were assessed and some of them were proven to be effective in sustainable conservation. It was found out that provision of incentives such as apiary production to forest dependent communities can encourage them to conserve forests more.
