This research-focused book discusses the updated reviews regarding the topic of sustainable forest management. Even though the idea of forest sustainability is an age-old concept the understanding of sustainable forest management (SFM) as a tool which balances various socio-economic and ecological concerns is relatively new. A significant change in viewpoint commenced during the 1990s as a consequence of an enhanced awareness of the deterioration of the environment specifically regarding the alarming loss of forest resources.
