Sustainable Municipalities through Real-Time Integrated Technology

This book is based on qualitative research that was conducted by the Author during his Master of Philosophy Degree in 2022 at the University of Johannesburg. The author analysed four critical success factors between a category A and a Category B municipality with the aim of establishing the reasons why some municipalities are performing better than others in terms of meeting their financial and non-financial targets which ultimately has an impact on the provision of sustainable basic services to their communities.In addition the author then used the identified gaps and applicable government legislative prescripts to develop a Real-Time Integrated Collaborative Model (RTICM) framework that is anticipated to enhance collaboration amongst spheres of government if it is adopted as a standard operating tool.
