Sweetwater

In most towns there are unsung heroes that are rarely remembered especially when rough and hard times are nearly forgotten. This true story covers the early part of my life from the time I can remember up to my seventeenth birthday (1932-48). Just an average curious youth growing up in a small town who could always find things to entertain his curiosity. Sometimes doing what was forbidden bending the rules and at times being totally different. In this account I've tried to be honest to the kid I was to look and see with the same eyes of wonder. </P><P>My story includes most of the people having made a lasting impression on me. They will always be in my memory as special. These men and women went the extra mile during times when people needed help. As far as I know recognition was never given. </P>
