A syllable lasts a second. Eternity is forever. Putting them side by side is a paradox-and thats the point. This book exists in that paradox. Its about mortal experiences-grief love doubt-trying to stretch into something eternal. Its about impermanence trying to leave a mark. The book is a kind of grasping. Like trying to hold fog. These poems are an attempt to give shape to things that dont want to be shaped- pain longing divinity absence. The syllables arent solutions. Theyre the evidence that I tried. Syllables of Eternity is just here to say: heres all I could carry from the abyss. It may be small but its real.
