Talocalcaneal synostosis (CTS) also known as coalition (CTC) corresponds to an abnormal bony or fibrocartilaginous union (synchondrosis) between the talus and calcaneus. CTC is the most common intra-articular coalition in the tarsus. Our retrospective study of 10 patients with 11 TC coalitions including 8 synchondrosis-type CTCs and 3 bone-type CTCs. Treated surgically by resection and soft-tissue interposition in almost all cases collated from 1996 to 2013 in the pediatric orthopedic surgery department of CHU Lapeyronie Montpellier. The mean age at the time of surgery was 12.9 years (extremes 9 and 16 years). Preoperative and follow-up evaluation was based on the Kitaoka score (AOFAS) and 2D and 3D reconstruction CT imaging. The aim of this study was:1- To analyze preoperative and follow-up CT images for degenerative deterioration of the subtalar and midfoot joints.2- Propose a classification according to the presence or absence of osteoarthritis into two types: stable or unstable.
