Synthesis and antimicrobial evaluation of pyrazole based 2-pyridones

The search for new antimicrobial drugs is an area of characterized by active investigation with the goal of overcoming the phenomenon of multiple drug resistance. Azoles constitute immensely important members of the aromatic heterocycle family due to their presence in a myriad of bioactive natural products as privileged pharmacophores. Pyrazole and pyridine derivatives play an essential role in several biological processes and have considerable chemical and pharmacological importance. The aim of this book is to provide a brief knowledge about synthesis characterization and antimicrobial screening of newly synthesized pyrazole based 2-pyridone derivatives.
