Synthesis Characterization and Applications of Organocatalysts

Organocatalysis is the acceleration of chemical transformations with a substoichiometric amount of an organic compound which does not contain a metal atom. Organocatalysts have emerged as powerful tools for organic transformations. Organocatalysts have several important advantages since they are usually robust inexpensive readily available and non toxic. In our study we have contributed the applications of new neutral pyrrolidine based chiral organocatalysts in the synthesis of a various valuable chiral and non-chiral products with several advantages from an economical and environmental point of view.
