Synthesis of Benzoxazole derivatives

Benzoxazole is an essential building block in organic synthesis which shows various biological activities. A number of methods have been reported for the synthesis of benzoxazole derivatives including the condensation reaction of carboxylic acids esters acid chlorides amides and aldehydes with o-substituted amino aromatic derivatives. Synthesis of benzoxazole derivatives also synthesised from Carbon disulfide & xanthate compounds isothiocynate cyanide Schiff base and microwave assisted methods.
