Synthesis of NitrogenOxygen containing Heterocycles

The chapter-I is concerned with brief introduction and synthetic applications of nitrogen and oxygen containing heterocycles. It describes various types of synthetic approaches employed by the researchers in construction of their derivatives and wide range of biological applications encouraged to undertake research work . The synthesis of 1 3 4 - oxadiazoles with biological relevance in Chapter-II. The chapter-III describes environmentally benign synthesis of 2-(substituted phenyl ) benzoxazoles by using natural catalyst. The chapter-IV describes the synthesis of 3-acetyl- (25- substituted diphenyl)-23-dihydro-1 3 4- oxadiazole derivatives. In the chapter-V describes synthesis of 2-{4-[(E)-phenyldiazenyl] substituted phenyl}-13-benzoxazoles by using K10 montmorillonite clay as catalyst. The chapter-VI describes the synthesis of N-( substituted )phenyl-4-[5-(trifluoromethyl)-124-oxadiazol-3-yl] benzamides. In present work we have carried out synthesis of 3-[4-(1 3-benzoxazol-2-yl)phenyl]-2-(substituted phenyl)-13-thiazolidin-4-ones with their antibacterial activities.By considering the huge biological importance of oxadiazole and benzoxazole derivatives .
