SYNTHESIS OF SOME NOVEL HETEROCYCLIC COMPOUNDS

The present book entitled SYNTHESIS OF SOME NOVEL HETEROCYCLIC COMPOUNDS describes the synthesis of various classes of organic compounds such as chalcones pyrazolines chromones pyrazoles β-diketones esters flavones etc. and their biological evaluation. The pyridine and benzofuran ring are a prominent heterocyclic scaffold in lots of bioactive molecules. Numerous pyridine and benzofuran based compounds have been reported to display versatile bioactive such as insecticidal fungicidal plant growth regulatory anticancer and antibacterial activity. Owing to the biological portent of pyridine and benzofuran moieties here we synthesized pyrazole aldehydes like 3-(benzofuran-2-yl)-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carbaldehyde and 1-phenyl-3-(pyridin-3-yl)-1H-pyrazole-4-carbaldehyde and synthesized various derivatives of chalcones pyrazolines chromones pyrazoles β-diketones esters flavones etc. All synthesized compounds were characterized by IR 1H NMR Mass Elemental analysis and screen their antimicrobial activities.
