Take this Word to Heart: The Shema in Torah and Gospel

In Take this Word to Heart Perry Yoder and his former students make important contributions to our understanding of the two great commandments in the Gospels--Jesus command to love God and to love our neighbor. Yoders own introductory chapter and the excellent studies of Deuteronomy and the Synoptics that follow shed fresh light on the Shema (Deuteronomy 6:4-5) and the New Testaments use of it.
