Tales and Maxims from the Midrash

Tales and Maxims from the Midrash is a collection of stories parables and teachings from Jewish Midrashic literature compiled and translated by Samuel Rapaport. The Midrash is a body of rabbinic literature that consists of interpretations exegesis and stories that elaborate on and provide insights into the biblical text.
