The profession of working on a railroad is a high-payingyet quiet and at times stressful job. In other words mostpeople do not hear about the railroad workers like onedoes when it's a doctor or a lawyer's position. However Ihad the pleasure of working with drivers engineers andconductors of a railroad company. They were some of themore interesting people that I've ever met. Armed withsome fun ideas about life their private opinions and theirmore hilarious stories to tell; the subject of writing a bookcame up and things just sort of fell into place.These stories are told by the crews in their voice. It wasfun to write as I was able catch their individual tones andpersonalities. I truly hope you nd yourself laughing alongthe way as much as I did while being there with the menfolk.
