Tales of Peter Scopes

Peter Scopes was born in India in 1928 the first son of Wilfred and Edith Scopes missionaries serving with the London Missionary Society. After schooling in India and England and a Maths degree at Cambridge he served as a teacher in the United States for a year and then for 15 years in Tanganyika /Tanzania before returning to teacher training in England. This booklet tells stories of his life's experiences gleaned by his brother Roger over the last couple of years since the death of Jennifer Peter's wife on December 9th 2012. It is not a formal biography but is written for the entertainment of Peter's children and grandchildren and great grandchildren but also for the interest of the wider Scopes family the families of Peter's brothers and his cousins.
