Tamil Ithazhkal 1915-1966

This is a book that records the history of Tamil journalism from Swadesamithiran to Dinamani. In 1933 at the age of sixteen R.A. Padmanabhan entered the world of Tamil journalism through Ananda Vikatan. He worked in magazines like Jayabharathi (1936 - 37) Hanuman (1937) Hindustan (1938) Tinamani Kadir (1965 - 66). As a researcher he studied Tamil magazines and also experienced firsthand the development of Tamil journalism. In that sense this book is an accomplished record of events and information. The book also contains important news about Swarajya Tamil Nadu India Hindustan and other such defunct magazines.
