<p>Baqar Mehdi was a famous Urdu poet writer and critic but he gained more fame as a critic. He used to criticize in Urdu in the format of English criticism. He tried to say something new in every article. And he made new and rebellious experiments on the intellectual level in criticism. He was always disgusted with the rational and ideological hollowness of the literary progressive movement and their establishment.
