<p class=ql-align-justify>About 90% of the scattered translations of late Shamsur Rahman Faruqi have been collected in one place. However his translated book 'Poetics' (Aristotle) ������is not included in it as several editions of this book are available in libraries.</p><p class=ql-align-justify>This book is also important because these translations are not done by a general translator but by a theorist writer and critic who <span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>is known for ushering </span>modernism<span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)> to </span>Urdu literature<span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>. Faruqi formulated fresh models of literary appreciation that combined western principles of literary criticism and subsequently applied them to </span>Urdu literature<span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)> after adapting them to address literary aesthetics native to </span>Arabic<span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)> </span>Persian<span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)> and </span>Urdu<span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>. </span></p><p><br></p>
