Along with the promotion and implementation of educational inclusion the issue of the place and role of special schools took shape. The reforms and changes in special education in Romania affected the status of teachers their satisfaction and resistance to stress. The relevance of the issues in this book is justified by the desire to prove the usefulness of Romanian special schools through teachers’ commitment. The novelty of the investigating endeavour resides in the topicality of speciality terminology in stressing the dilemmas of inclusive school in unmasking the reasons for teachers’ commitment in special school and in choosing less considered variables in the literature - namely career choice and self-determination in keeping their profession. The conclusion of the research illustrates that teachers’ commitment is a significant element of the organizational culture of special schools which reveals the human dimension of all educational actors. Teachers’ commitment is a predictor of their humanity and loyalty.
