True indeed the book bears the unmistakable imprint of their expertise. The authors plumbed the depth of topics which are not only basic in international law but also foundational even as they are the gateway to a profound understanding of the secondary areas to which international law has expanded. Put differently it addresses the tools that are used in advancing international law beyond its traditional boundaries. Apart from its unique contribution to knowledge the book simplifies various subjects of international law. I entertain no doubt that it would be a resourceful guide to students practitioners scholars and policy makers in understanding and explaining key concepts in international law.
