<p>I chose TEAR$ OF JOY as the title because I was inspired by a poem I wrote with the same name. TEAR$ OF JOY because this collection touches on all emotions. TEAR$ OF JOY because contradiction duality and complexity are a part of life and I am not afraid to embrace that at all. Especially now. - Ananda Ami</p><p>TEAR$ OF JOY is a collection of poems written by 20-year-old musician Ananda Ami. This collection of emotional coming-of-age poems mentions topics such as spirituality romance tragedy love betrayal society mental health and empowerment.</p><p>The author expresses contradictions complexities and the thin veil between light and dark. She can exercise an expansive vocabulary in her stories but maintain her hip-hop rhythm. Ami's undeniable hip-hop talent is understood without her voice or an instrumental.</p><p>Ananda Ami's work is intricate and fluid. Yet she is solid as stone.
