<p>TEARS FOR THE BRIDE</p><p></p><p>When Jim Bennett agrees to join his secretary Sandy for a weekend of hunting with her family the last thing he expects is to find himself thrust in the middle of an accidental shooting. Then someone takes a shot at him as well and the accident suddenly becomes very personal. Sandy's brother Ralph now lies in the hospital his previous girlfriend wracked with guilt at having fired the shot that put him there. But Bennett is not convinced that she's as guilty as she seems. After all someone fired at him as well. Could Earl Seltzman in love with Ralph's fiancée have tried to remove the competition? All Bennett knows is that he won't be satisfied until he finds the person who tried to kill him.</p><p></p><p>THE WIDOW AND THE WEB</p><p></p><p>Jim Bennett is working for the Industrial Welfare Commission's Department of Investigations on a routine case. George Shannon has fallen from a ladder and died from a head injury. It looks like an industrial accident and Bennett is ready to give his okay for payment to the widow. But someone sends him a note suggesting that Shannon's death is no accident. When Bennett follows up with a few questions at the plant a shadowy figure clubs him in an alley threatening worse if he doesn't lay off. Now Bennett is determined to find out what happened to Shannon. If only his widow weren't so distracting... </p>
