George Shannon has fallen from a ladder and died from a head injury. It looks like an industrial accident and Bennett is ready to give his okay for payment to the widow. But someone sends him a note suggesting that Shannon's death is no accident. When Bennett follows up with a few questions at the plant a shadowy figure clubs him in an alley threatening worse if he doesn't lay off. Now Bennett is determined to find out what happened to Shannon. If only his widow weren't so distracting... </p>
