This was during a time before the Internet where keeping a paperback diary was a commonplace.Sabrina was caught between two very different cultures. Her parents were not orthodox Muslim but they were conservative strict enough not to allow her to have any boyfriends or stay out too late. Sabrina loved Bollywood movies and the melodic songs with the backdrop of colourful melodrama. However she also loved the boldness of Madonna who was strong and didnt play by the rules.Sabrinas poems came pouring out of her imagination of all the could-be scenarios and sinusoidal waves of emotion that comes with love. Stuck in her shoe-box room Sabrina created a whole universe of love and wrote it down in her diaries.
