Telling the Truths: Truth Telling and Peace Building in Post-Conflict Societies (RIREC Project on Post-Accord Peacebuilding)

This important collection examines the contributions of truth-telling mechanisms such as truth commissions to long-term sustainable peace. The question of whether and how truth brings peace is underexamined in scholarly literature on conflict resolution conflict transformation and transitional justice. This book argues that to ensure a future which does not reiterate the past the atrocities of war and conflict must be brought to light and addressed.
