Temporo-mandibular disorders are known to cause diagnostic dilemmas in stomatognathic system as the pathologies currently defined may vary in nature. Therefore knowledge and awareness of these mysteries along with evidence of anatomy and function of TMJ are essential for solving the complex and controversial issues related to their management.
