Ten to Midnight

In the near future the global economy is in crisis and Russia has been brought to its knees by a bloody war in Ukraine. With the Russian people facing famine and Chinese troops massing on the Russian border a rogue general seizes power with a plan to secure victory by breaking the last taboo of war. But the plan is fatally flawed. A series of miscalculations lead to a regional nuclear conflict and the destruction of several Russian cities. With communications in disarray and the world gripped by panic Russian leaders inadvertently launch a nuclear attack against the United States. As missiles rain down on America retired CIA analyst Dr. Lewis Stein is brought out of a tortured retirement to advise a frightened and inexperienced President how to prevent a limited nuclear war from escalating into a global cataclysm. But with every nation preparing to unleash its full nuclear arsenal the odds are stacked in favor of Armageddon.
