Ten Years Later

The novel is set in 1660s France ten years after the events of Twenty Years After and continues the story of the musketeers and their adventures. The novel follows the political intrigues of the French court with a focus on the power struggles between King Louis XIV and his brother Philippe who is secretly being kept in prison. The musketeers find themselves caught up in this conflict with dArtagnan acting as a loyal servant to the king while his friends Athos Porthos and Aramis support the imprisoned Philippe.
