Terrorism and Poverty in Northeast Nigeria

The Book contains a concise analysis of the causal relationship between Terrorism and Poverty in Northeast Nigeria. The Book deviated from the general belief that poverty is the cause of terrorism in northeast Nigeria hence it is found that poverty only served as a motivating factor for easy recruitment of foot-soldiers for the Boko Haram sect. The sect is not calling for improved government presence in the region but rather chooses to destroy the available government institutions. The Book examines the way the Sect operates and concludes that the sect is interested in capturing territories as its caliphate. The Book concludes that Terrorism exacerbated the existing poverty indices in the region by depriving the locals of their means of livelihood.
