Tess and the Mystery Rock Field Notebook

<p><em>Tess and the Mystery Rock Field Notebook</em> is an accompaniment to the science/literature book <em>Tess and the Mystery Rock</em>. A field notebook is an important tool used by research scientists—a place where they record ideas observations and experiments. <em>Tess and the Mystery Rock Field Notebook</em> allows kids to create their own field notebook and participate in storytelling by making observations and completing supplemental experiments that support the concepts taught in the <em>Tess and the Mystery Rock</em> reader. The Thought Stops from the reader are included in the Field Notebook along with additional questions experiments and space for drawing and writing. Interdisciplinary learning is incorporated with a unit of writing added to the reading and science units.</p>
