Thank the Evil

When he was just 14 Dereck Lee watched as soldiers marched into his hometown of Phnom Penh. He would spend the rest of his teenage years enslaved in the Cambodian countryside where starvation disease and execution became unimaginably routine. A witness to nightmarish atrocities he also fought another battle: keeping his humanity despite all odds. Lees story is documented by a determined college student who is also a friend of his daughter.
