That Deaf Kid

<p><em>That Deaf Kid</em> is a valuable resource for parents of deaf and hard of hearing children. It examines the ongoing tug-of-war between mainstreaming deaf schools hearing aids cochlear implants sign language speech therapy and more. <em>That Deaf Kid</em> brings these issues to light and shows how it's possible to have a healthy balance. Most important it builds a critical bridge between <em>fitting in</em> and <em>belonging.</em> When we cross that bridge we encourage deaf and hard of hearing children to discover their authentic selves.  </p>
