That Woman

<p>The residents of the small-knit community of Elm Grove with their snobbery and petty jealousies are not surprised when Verity Redfern is arrested for the murder of Jennifer Morton her husband’s mistress.  Anyone could have murdered that woman for her lies and adultery.</p><p>Edward Harris who is handling Verity’s divorce obtains her release from jail due to lack of evidence but Jennifer is not dead so who is the murdered woman? Major Smythe dies a few days later accident or murder?</p><p>Verity is convinced Jennifer is responsible.  She realises that she is falling in love with Edward.  Does he return her feelings or merely feel sorry for her?</p><p>The murderer is finally exposed.</p>
