The 120 days of Sodom

A book so precious that when the author Marquis de sade lost the manuscripts of this piece, he shed tears of blood. The book revolves around four philanderers who lock themselves in a castle with a group of teenage girls and boys who are abducted for a very sexually violent purpose. With them, they also bring four elderly brothel madams whose task was to impart, in a rather gruesome and insane manner, tales of perversions in the four months of duration. The tales are then enacted by the libertines and subjected to those teenagers. The tales are so violent and unspeakable that it would discomfort the readers rather than tantalize the sexual experiences. There is no doubt the book has been banned by authorities, but for obvious reasons. Yet, this piece has a flair of its own when it comes to the fantasies and ideas of sexual indulgences and gives a rather powerful insight into the author’s mind that makes it a unique masterclass. 120 days of Sodom is enlisted in the ranks of Penguin for the first time ever.
