The 1st Florida Union Cavalry Volunteers in the Civil War

The 1st Florida Union Cavalry was formed in October 1863 from men primarily from south Alabama and northwest Florida. The regiment was stationed at Fort Barrancas in Pensacola FL; served along the upper Gulf Coast with other Union regiments and participated in a number of engagements from Marianna FL to Mobile AL.
