<p>My mother always shared valuable life lessons with my siblings and me. One that I remember to this day is Never give up no matter your circumstance. Always remember that you are my superstar. I did not understand what this meant as a child but it all became clear as I got older.</p><p><br></p><p>My family teachers mentors and the environments in which I grew up impacted my perspective of the world and I will always be grateful for that. If I could go back in time there are several lessons I would have loved to share with my mother.
