The Abandoned

Izzie is abandoned. Abandoned by the parents who left her in the trash abandoned by a society embarrassed by poverty abandoned by a world who wants nothing more from her than her blood. Raised in a holding centre a sick imitation of an orphanage she was raised a soldier able to fight when instructed and die when ordered. When she breaks out of confinement with a small group of her peers her problems are only just beginning however and she numbly realises it's going to be a long haul to freedom.
