The ABC's of God

<p>I wrote the book originally as a devotional for my grandsons after my daughter Ashley told me that they would be moving back to Arkansas. Up until that point I had been the one constant male influence in their lives. I would have them on the weekends usually and really enjoyed our time. Each time I had them I wanted to influence them for Christ whether that was through watching Veggie Tales and the Bible series Super Book before bed and just talking to them about God. So I wanted to somehow keep that going. I believed that God gave me an idea by using the alphabet to teach about the character and goodness of God assigning an attribute or character quality to each letter. I went and bought a notebook from Walmart and wrote it down and then mailed it off to my daughter Ashley. She later called me with excitement and encouraged me to get it published so that other kids can have it as well. So I prayed about it and got it published. We are all made in the image and likeness of God (Gen. 1:26-27) and our ultimate purpose is to know and glorify God our Creator. And impressing that on the minds and hearts of our children while they're young is the greatest gift that we can give them as parents and grandparents. This is why I wrote The ABC's of God.</p>
