<p>Chook Chick and Cackles get bored in their pen<br />So they scratch a way out under the fence.<br />They get up to mischief and into some trouble<br />then run back home fast - on the double.<br />There’s fun to be had and mess to be made<br />And if there’s any time left there’s eggs to be laid.<br />Poor Farmer Fred gives his head a scratch.<br />He’s got to keep them out of his veggie patch.<br />Next time the girls want to escape the coop<br />they watch Mick the Magpie soar and swoop.<br />They’ve got two wings; do you think they can fly?<br />I wonder what will happen if they try.</p>
