This book presents a history of the controversy of the topic. Two scholars discuss public policy issues relating to social justice in the late 20th century. Each begins by making a case for or against affirmative action laying out the major arguments on both sides. Each author then responds to the other''s essay a chronology of key events a listing of organizations and agencies and an annotated bibliography of sources.
