The book reveals the challenges and prospects of fighting corruption in Africa. It argues that Africa has developed several impressive development plans; unfortunately most of them have failed because of corruption. To address this challenge Africa initiated a continent-wide anti-corruption programme in 2018. This publication therefore recounts how the African Union has traced its transformative steps and developed a 50-year Agenda 2063 for development. It explains the African anti-corruption architecture the roles and activities of African governments at national regional and continental levels and how many African states continue to be complacent in the name of fighting corruption. It highlights the achievements and challenges of fighting corruption in Africa and argues that the design of an anti-corruption architecture is fundamental but that commitment to its implementation is far more important. He concludes that current trends in corruption must be prevented if Africa''s transformation is to take place.
